Youth Fitness Squad

If you are looking for some fun, healthy and social activity for your kids, this is it!

Vitality’s Youth Fitness Squad is a group fitness training program designed to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility and coordination for kids & teens ages 8-17.

Health Benefits of regular exercise for this age group include: 
  • Development of healthy bones, muscles and joints.
  • Development of healthy heart and lungs.
  • Improved coordination, strength and muscle control.
  • Maintaining a healthy body weight.
  • Improved flexibility.
  • Improved balance and posture.
  • Their brain will develop vital connections, leading to improved concentration and thinking skills.
  • They are less likely to develop chronic diseases, such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

DID YOU KNOW…

 

According to the Australian Government Department of Health, for health benefits, young people aged 13-17 years should accumulate at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity every day. These activities should include a variety of aerobic activities as well as activity that strengthens muscle and bone.

Available Programs

Vitality Youth Fitness Squad programs
will run during the school term.
First Program runs 27th April to 2nd July.

Ages  8-12    Mondays 4-5pm

Ages 13-17   Thursdays 4-5pm

COSTS:
Ages  8-12

$8 per squad training class or 8 classes for $64

Ages 13-17

$8 per squad training class or 10 classes for $80

**Program will not run on public holidays.  Public holidays during this term include 26th April & 14th June and effect the program for the 8-12 age category.
